Summary

In the past, WildMetro has offered regular field trips and nature walks in local parks and natural areas. Many of these trips combine research with training and recreation. We have also led special field trips for The Nature Conservancy and National Audubon Society. WildMetro also developed at ‘Kids Go Wild’ weekend program that was conducted in 2004 and 2005 around New York City, originally in cooperation with Nurture New York's Nature. Contact the office at WildMetro for upcoming educational programs.

WildMetro is currently providing an after school program, Y Explorers, a collaborative program for Harlem students at the 92nd Street Y. Students meet once a week to learn basic science and an appreciation of nature. WildMetro is currently developing an afterschool program and high school level citizen science course curriculum.  Further information should be available on the WildMetro website November 2009.
